Forgotten Diggers are looking for committed, hard working and community minded people from all over New South Wales to help us continue our work – and you don’t need to have a PhD in Military History!
Installing headstones for ALL returned World War 1 soldiers around the country who are in unmarked graves and giving each one a headstone is a mighty challenge. We can do it but we are going to need lots of money and lots of arms and legs.
We are aiming to put information on this page to guide any of you who are asking yourselves “I want to help but I don’t know how”. This information is general and is not intended to be specific by state or cemetery.
Please check back here to see updated information on what you can do in your town or city to help. In the meantime, please send us an enquiry if you have any questions or wish to know about getting further involved in helping us.
Donations: If you would like to help us in our work to continue to recognise our unacknowledged returned First World War soldiers, we would invite you to make a donation to our cause! Your donation will assist us in placing monuments as shown on the left on the graves of our Forgotten Diggers. The Crosses are used as a place marker pending funding being secured for the installation of the Concrete and Bronze Headstones.
